This in from TV Guide Mega Buzz:
Loved the Castle premiere, but there's no way Castle can keep Beckett from digging into her mom's murder, is there? — Deb ADAM: Not according to Stana Katic. "Beckett is relentless," she says, insisting that Beckett's brush with death will only fuel her fire. "[If] Beckett sees a challenge, she's going to run at it head on. If there's a wall in her way, she's going to break it down. She going to take it down brick by brick if she has to... and she'll risk her own life doing it." Guess that means Castle may eventually have to come clean about his mysterious phone call in the premiere. Did someone say "powder keg"? http://www.tvguide.com/News/Mega-Buzz-House-Ringer-Glee-1037845.aspx

Michael Ausiello TV Line:
Question: I am still dying after watching the season premiere of Castle. Please give us some spoilers on upcoming episodes! —Cheryl Ausiello: As if his issues with Beckett weren’t enough to keep him up at night, Castle is going to have his hands full with another woman in his life this season: daughter Alexis. “She’s testing the limits — and where we take her in the next couple of episodes allows her to push the limits even more,” previews series creator Andrew W. Marlowe. “It was always my intent to have Alexis be a good girl and not do anything crazy — we don’t expect her to become a drug addict — but we do get to see that [father/daughter friction] and other issues that she’s wrestling with. She’s at an age where girls struggle with their identity and with relationships, so we have all of that material to play with.”
Question: Any Castle scoop? As much as I love Beckett and Castle, I’d love some news on anything relating to Ryan and Esposito. —Mere Ausiello: “This season there is going to be a ‘boys night’ episode, either [Episode] 7 or 8,” reveals Jon Huertas (aka Esposito). “Castle and Esposito probably want to show Ryan a good time before he gets ‘locked up’ [in marriage]!” So, where might the guys go for their manly merriment? “Atlantic City isn’t that far from New York,” Huertas ventures, “so I imagine we’d try to go there and see how dirty we can get.”
Anything on Castle!? Particularly, can you guarantee me we’re done with that Josh business? — Val
We’re done. Like, done, done. Um, for now, says EP Andrew Marlowe. “Nobody is ever gone for good, but I have no immediate plans to bring him back into the storytelling. If I ever have the appetite, rest assured I’m going to do it in a surprising way — not in an annoying way.”
(Any chance they could just lock him in the janitors cupboard in the hospital? We can always dust him off in case of another medical emergency?! )

I'll put this in "spoilers" because as well as dealing with 4x01 RISE there is also discussion on future ideas/episodes:
Castle's Stana Katic Opens Up About the Big Secrets and Kate Being Crazy In Love with Rick
Read TV Line's Matt Webb Mitovich's interview HERE
Favorite part:
TVLINE | That’s the word I used with Andrew. Yeah. Because for her that’s the one thing she has to finish in order to get on with things, and to get into a relationship – hopefully with him, because she is crazy about him. She is in love with him. And throughout this season I’m looking for moments for that to shine. That was part of a discussion with Andrew and some of our creatives here: I feel, as the actor performing it, like the audience has had so much insight into what’s gong on in Castle’s mind, because he has this outlet, his family, and Beckett doesn’t. So we’ve created this psychiatrist character (played by Michael Dorn) who’s an avenue. But I’ve also looked for private moments, as an actor, where Castle might not be looking but she can at least show [her feelings].

Stana is awesome! I love the way she really talks about what her character is thinking. She seems really tuned into Beckett. I adore Nathan, but find he tends to theorize about why things should or shouldn't happen based on other shows or ideas about what makes something work, and I'm always thinking, "what does any of that have to do with what your character and what we see happening on-screen?"

According to TV Guide's Mega Buzz Gates isn't gonna mellow any time soon...
When is the new captain going to ease up on Beckett on Castle? — Carrie
ADAM: I wouldn't expect it to be anytime soon. Nor would Penny Johnson Jerald, who insists her character isn't being grumpy, but rather teaching Beckett how to excel in the male-dominated NYPD. "I think you could really put that into a category of tough love," she tells us. "You have to better than the best because you're a woman. I think she sees a little bit of herself in Beckett. So she wants Beckett to do it by the book so that Beckett isn't the reason for her own demise."

Oh, it's not his on-screen stuff that's a issue for me. It's that what he says OFF-SCREEN makes no sense considering what is happening on the show.

Once we get past the art-dealer episode I'll have a better sense of wants going on. Stana is playing Beckett as being head-over-heels but hiding it. Either the art dealer makes her tip her hand a bit to Castle or Castle does something with the dealer that makes her doubt him and she shuts her feelings down again. I'm really hoping it's the former, not the latter.

Just a little snippet from "Watch with Kristin" at E Online:
Diane: Dear Kristin: Please give us some scoop on Castle. Thank you.
Castle is looking to cast a DEA agent investigating drug trafficking, as well as a possibly harmful redneck family from Texas. Now that episode sounds like a party.

This spoiler is for 4.12.
Since we don't know the name of the episode yet...I'll put in here for now...
Castle Episode 4.12
We have a new recurring character on the block; Robert Wheldon, who is an African-American handsome politician. He's involved in a crime, suggesting a case for the team that spans over a few weeks.

I think AM is setting up the next phase of the Johanna Beckett Case. I'm probably jumping the gun, but I think that AM intends to have some closure this with regards to the case by season's end. If I'm right, I think season 5 will be a go for Caskett.
Politician? Uh-oh.

Adding to that is: www.spoilerblog.blogspot.com I'm not sure about totally ending the Johanna Beckett mystery...but I do think he's moving to a place where there's some closure and BECKET can move forward (and thus Caskett can move forward. ) I think there may be something about learning to fully LIVE with uncertainty, because there are no guarantees in life. Beckett is all about control...learning to let go in the face of not having all the answers is IMO a better story than being wrapped up in a neat little bow. Plus it gives Marlowe more room to maneuver later on down the line.
A politician...so the lynchpin is NOT the mayor, but me thinks he's gonna end up in the mix. Friends with Roy, another Africian-American politician. That's an exclusive networking world - especialy in big cities like New York. Even canidates from different parties will find themselves at the same events and they all know of each other.
I'm also curious about Castle's dad's storyline and if they will intertwine with the one for Beckett's mom...

This exactly what I'm thinking.... We could have some closure that allows Beckett the freedom to take the next step in her relationship with Castle. At the same time, Marlowe leaves some aspect of the case open so that in some future date we can have Castle and Beckett decide to dive into it as a committed couple. It would be nice if this is the way it would play out because it would link back to what Beckett reveal she wanted in a relationship in Countdown. She wanted someone to be there for her and for her to be there for them. She wanted someone to dive in with her to face the unknown.
Give Beckett some closure this season. Give us Caskett next season. Have season six with these two facing their demons as a committed couple. Conclude the series run with a pure romantic comedy show harking back to the the Tin Man series or Mr and Mrs Smith movie. A married couple fighting crime together......

Got any good Castle spoilers? — Melissa ADAM: Sounds like Beckett and Castle are going to have to tread lightly on an upcoming case. It concerns a politician who, despite being well-loved among his constituents, finds himself mixed up in a crime. Given what we know about Capt. Gates' desire to move up the ranks, we bet she'll be paying closer attention than ever to this case.

Hmmm....more info on that politician episode....upon reading it, I definitely can see it having some repercussions for Castle. For one, it involves a sex scandal, and since they seem to have brought back in some of that playboy Castle back (Beholder & Heartbreak Hotel) perhaps it will be a reminder of why he's stopped setting beds on fire and coating curtains with jam. The second reason is a bit more direct...check out why at http://www.tvguide.com

Subject: Ausiello spoilers for Cuffed and Celebrity (4x13) Tue Nov 15, 2011 11:06 pm
Question: I am a loyal follower and this is the first time I have asked for scoop! Do you have anything about the Nov. 28 episode of Castle entitled “Cuffed”? Specifically, how do Beckett and Castle get handcuffed together in the first place? —Lauren
Ausiello: Good question. So good that I went directly to series creator Andrew W. Marlowe for the answer. He said, “Fans should be very curious as to why Beckett and Castle are handcuffed together” — and they’re not alone in that. “I think Beckett and Castle are very curious as to why they are cuffed together, and wonder why they can’t remember exactly how it happened.”
Question: Waiting for a new episode of Castle is killing me! I need spoilers, Aus! —Ivy
Ausiello: Sounds like Castle is about lampoon — or pay homage to? — Kim “72 Days” Kardashian. The show is casting the role of Kay Cappuccio, a charismatic reality-TV star “who has achieved significant fame and fortune without possessing any discernible skill or talent” and whose “knockout body have made her a favorite of tabloids and gossip sites the world over — one of which has placed a huge bounty on her booty.” It’s totes KK, right? That’s what I thought, until I read the last sentence of the character descrip: “Kay both relishes this spotlight and at the same time feels like a prisoner of her own celebrity lifestyle — the result is a woman who is more complex than she might at first seem.” Complex?! Kim? Um, no, I think I had a cactus once that demonstrated greater depth than she ever has. And it had a bigger vocabulary, too.

Isn't Cuffed going out on the 5th December? Oooookay...moving on! Beckett & Castle don't know how they've come to be cuffed together? The shippers have finally kidnapped them? That...or Lanie, Esposito, Ryan...and even Gates have had enough with the UST! Oh man, this means some loony has a) drugged 'em, b) knocked 'em out cold, c) Tasered them or d) They've been taken by one of the alphabet agencies again (You know the ones...the ones where your waiting for them to bring out the old Nazi with the dentist drill. I LOVE that line! )...only this time the hickeys could be real!

Yeah, Buddy! I've always felt the arc about Beckett's mom had a very noir kind of vibe to it. Like "Knockout" had a bit of that Chicago/ChinaTown/L.A. Confidental feel to it. (Plus the little shout out to "The Third Man." The forties stuff is way stylized and fun, but the genre is still dark - hence, "noir" I know, I know. However, sometimes with the stylization in the speech patterns, clothes and whatnot the darkness of the 40's stuff often gets glossed over. Key Largo, Sunset Boulevard, Strangers on a Train, the names are famous and the topics may at first glance seem glossy and romantic, but at the core they are dark films. Being that this is Marlowe, I'm really thinking he's, as they say, gonna bring it.

These interviews have Kill Shot references in them but they also deal with other aspects of the show (relationships/story arcs) so I'm putting them in here...
(Watch the "extra" video...is it just me or do the audience members look like they have jets of water coming out of their heads? Yes. I am easily distracted. Why do you ask? )

Subject: GMMR interviews Andrew on Cuffed, plus the rest of season 4! Mon Dec 05, 2011 4:58 am
I started to list this in the Cuffed spoilers, but the interview covers SO much more than that! (Gotta say, GMMR does GREAT interviews!) Aside from Cuffed, Andrew discusses the upcoming wedding, the 3X killer, Beckett's emotional journey, new love interests (don't panic!) and his thoughts about will they/won't they relationships.
ALL of that in ONE interview!
Here's MY favorite snippet:
Andrew Marlowe via GMMR wrote:
...But we’re not going to be dictated by the success and failures of other shows. We are dealing with the rhythm of two characters, who for all of us on the show, have become real people in our lives. And who we are rooting for the same way we root for friends to find true love and overcome the obstacles. So it feels like the rhythm of our storytelling is going to dictate things more than anything else. And we know there are more challenges and more complications, but I also know that when couples do get together, there are still challenges and still complications and it’s still interesting. And if you’re the right kind of storyteller, happily ever after can be the beginning of storytelling, not just the end.
I just LOVE what he says here. A) not depending on what other shows do or have done in order to decide what he does in his. B)That a couple getting together does NOT have to be then endgame!
All-in-all, this is a really thorough interview. It has spoilers, but even more it has his thoughts about about some of the choices they've made thus far, what point he thinks the show is currently, where he wants to go and how he plans to get there. Really, the man is brilliant.
