Lisa Edelstein is trading a House for a Castle.

The TV MVP is joining the ABC hit’s Season 6 cast for a multiple-episode arc, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Got any Castle scoop on Beckett's answer to Castle's proposal? — Denise, via Twitter ADAM: Yep, you'll get it — and Beckett's decision about the job in Washington —immediately when the show returns. But creator Andrew W. Marlowe suggests that the answer is the easy part. "There are four possible outcomes and each of them have their own particular consequences," he says. "There's no version of this that's easy and that they live happily ever after — even with the good stuff." And while Rick would certainly be heartbroken if Beckett said no, Marlowe says Beckett has the most to lose. "How can she make any choice without giving something up? She'll have to sacrifice something," he teases.

TVLine has learned exclusively that TV vet Yancey Arias has been cast as Carl Villante, the head of an elite investigative unit who clashes with both Beckett and Castle during the working of a high-stakes case.

No, Season 6 opens “right where we left off,” there at the swings, Nathan Fillion confirms. “The only difference, I think, is I’ve had a haircut or two!” But then, once the matters of the marriage proposal and Beckett’s career decision are resolved, “We do jump ahead three or four months.”
