As we were saying...

So, we've be chatting on the board at various times about the role of women behind the scenes (or the lack-there-of) affecting what happens on screen. Castle has very strong female characters, and behind the scenes has women in positions of power: Terri Miller as an writer & an executive producer and Laurie Zaks as executive producer. While we've been speculating that the former has something to do with the latter, some more concrete research has been done on the idea of women behind the scenes effectingwhat occurs on screen.
