4.04 KICK THE BALLISTICS - Discussion

Best Part: Probably the last 10 minutes. They were pretty intense. I mean this level of drama is something you would think to find mid season. But here it is, episode 4, and they're dealing this??? Awesome. I love the writing on this show.


My wwhaaa part: Discussion between Martha and Castle. He's just now realizing he's playing cop? Wasn't this already covered? And now all of the sudden Martha is supporting his decision to play cop? I dunno.. I felt something was a little off there. As for Martha, maybe Martha is accepting that Castle's place is right there beside Beckett (and the others).

I've got to go to bed - but I'll just say I REALLY enjoyed that! Loved tye way the Tyson story wasn't some cut and dry murder he committed. Rob Bowman - WHERE is his Emmy for Castle?
Seamus Dever I also really liked Stana's subtle moments of backing him up. They did some really nice stuff together. I like the continuity....I could just stop there, right? Specifically, the continuity of Castle's maturing and really looking at is role with the NYPD. (In terms of continuity, the bit with Alexis was nice, too )
Of course, all the continuity in these stories - we can all thank ANDREW MARLOWE!

I don't think I'm capable of coherent sentence structure at the present time (it being nearly half four in the morning and that episode damn near killed me!)

The part with the stand off over wearing a wire? The MUSIC! (man, that was the violin strings of sorrow...watch that one come back to bite us with one of the regular cast? Yikes!?) The shooting! I thought they'd killed the poor lad!

...and I love Rob Bowman directing. That is all.

C'mon! What were they supposed to do? Tickle Ben out of his wire instead of him getting shot?
