Beckett & Castle have been shot at, shot, kidnapped & cuffed, stuck in a freezer, stuck in a car filling with water, stuck in front of a bomb that's about to explode and held hostage at gunpoint in a bank...that also blew up...all THAT and it's an "Occupy" style storyline that makes them wonder at the fragility of life? About the ABC Prromo... Gosh.... Marlowe really does want to kill all the fandom. What a promo. I always knew Rick would be upset with Beckett, but I never imagine the reveal to come out in such a way. I suspected that Kate would be the one to tell him, and he would be upset. This way of finding out, however, makes it worse because now he knows without him knowing her reasons or how long she meant to keep this secret from him. This is bad anyway you look at it.

I LOVE this reveal! So creative! Add the Canadian promo in and itms quite the mix! I think it sets up GREAT angsty conversations and soul searching - especially for Kate because words aren't her strong suit. We all get WHY, because we know all the details - including the thing with Gina and the Hamptons. We get the doubts and fears, and HOW LONG she's had feelings for him. We know about how his books savee her, fear of being a fan girl notch on his belt - fear of NOT BEING GOOD ENOUGH for him due to the stuff with her mother. We know she's been trying to get better in part to be able to show up and love him the way she knows he deserves.
However, RICK knows NONE of this. I am curious how much of this info will be coming out to him over the next couple of episodes. I don't think it's ever occurred to Rick that Kate may not have thought herself worthy of HIM - and I do think that's a part of it. There's a fanfic that makes a good point about Rick was her fantasy crush guy before she ever really KNEW him, and the kind of confusion and spin that put on the relationship for her.
I am looking forward to 47 Seconds and The Limey! I think thoses two will be dealing with these issues.
It's like, what a six story arc to deal with secrets? Like REALLY deal with them and the ramifications! I am PYSCHED!
So, now I'm gonna go vote in TVaddict's best showrunner's contest. He's already beat Hart Hanson, but now I'm like, WHO ELSE IS THIS AWESOME!
