#Castle BTS 2: this was a framed memento some of the guys from the #CastleConstructionCrew made for me after they broke Beckett's apartment set down. These three panels came from the board Beckett carved her initials in when leaving her apartment. 2014. KB. K.

The glass came from the apartment windows.
I love working with those guys. They're a stellar bunch & give amazing hugs.

#Castle BTS 4: Looking back for FBF, we got to do a number of great camera shots under the leadership of our Director of Photography Bill Roe. He stepped into the director's chair not long after this shot. I had the great privilege of seeing him honoured at the ASC Awards this year.

#castle BTS 5: FBF-- this mad scientist has been the mastermind behind pretty much every near-death episode my character has shot. Let's see... Bullets, explosion, drowning, water boarding, psycho face scalping... To name a few.

#Castle BTS 8: Things on Castle are getting CREEPY... Castle's Set Decorators are first class filmmakers. I've seen them overhaul a space & tell a whole life story about a character through their art in a matter of hours.

You'll regularly see cast & crew stealing inspiration photos of these spaces to use at home. I work with some of the best in the biz.

#Castle BTS 22: I got the word that I booked Beckett on May 4, 2008. That was the beginning of what ended up being a life-changing experience. I am so fortunate to have played this character & to work with everyone involved in this project. My colleagues & this character enriched my life.

So much of the Castle story came from these two. I remember shooting the pilot with Terri Edda Miller & Andrew Marlowe in NYC. We were all so new to TV then. So green. We've learned a lot these years. What you've watched & the characters you've fallen in love with never would've happened if not for Castle's creator Andrew Marlowe.
Andrew & Terri wrote the finale. One of my favorite Beckett moments ever is in this ep.
Thank you, Andrew. Thank you, Terri... For giving me a capable, complex, loving & formidable woman to play. Castle wouldn't be what it is without you.
