| The results of those polls are completely outrageously stupid... | |

| I know but it makes me think less of TV viewers who voted ... like they must not care too much about story lines as long as the ending is what they want never mind about how it got there... but OK. The world is so full of mindless puppets these days it just makes me want to SCREAM.
I mean if they weren't mindless puppets and if they did care about story lines and showed their dissatisfaction by switching the channel... maybe it would clue in the network bigwigs and we'd have gotten a more satisfactory resolution... for shows that have gone down hill... Did I get off topic? lol

Did I get off topic? lol Alittle. Not all people watch TV for the story. It's about the eye-candy and site gags, and moments of intensity. I've actually had people from a different fandom they don't care about the story and, yeah the writing's crappy, but they love the actors. Vegging out to mindless TV doesn't mean the viewer is mindless...they just don't chose to engage with TV using much thought. It's how they relax...to each their own, right? However, obviously, the fandom I mentioned wasn't Castle! Although...yeah, I'd say we DO love the actors and appreciate the eye-candy.

| Yes, one can watch for pure eye candy but I am hoping those watching for pure eye candy wont nod their head and go yeah that was the bestest writing EVAH when clearly it isn't... one can vedge out to horribly done TV but at least have the presence of mind to go... wow I could have written that better. If you know what I mean... I've also watched a show just for the eye candy... Supernatural... but even that got to the point where I couldn't tune in anymore because the story line took a turn I didn't agree with. Sigh. And heck, I re-watch season 1 of Adventures of Sinbad still and it has to be the worst written and acted thing ever but at least it has positive view points and healthy relationships... I love it but I'd never call it the bestest written thing ever. | |

| Castle won for most "Out The Box" episode, which is essentially saying it's the most creative. I think that says a lot, and like I said earlier, there are a lot of factors the go into to each contest. GMMR didn't release any numbers that I noticed, so there's no way to discern how many people actually participated. Are we talking hundreds of votes? Thousands? Nor can we tell how many people voted for what, For instance, in one category, Castle was three out of four or five choices. It's totally possible that there were more votes for Castle overall in the Category, but no one answer got a higher answer than the one that "won." I'm happy with Castle winning the category for creativity. | |
