Castle and Beckett are near one another but facing in opposite directions.

Season 3 they're handcuffed together... (Lord only knows what Michael Ausiello would have made of THAT one had he been analysing the ink blot picture promotional poster for S3!? Alas, we didn't get Caskett with cuffs last year! ) ...they're still facing in opposite directions.
Season 4 the only one so far to have both Beckett and Castle facing in the same direction, close up and with more than a shoulder for bodily contact!
